The silicon carbide has the advantages of excellent corrosion resistance, high coefficient of heat conductivity, self-lubricity, small expansion. It can be widely used in the petroleum, chemical, machinery-building, cosmonautics and motors industries. The frictional factor of combination of silicon carbide and carbon graphite is the least, so it widely applied to high characteristics for the mechanical seals. Beside it can also used as bearing and nozzle.
